Who sings the song Donald Trump

Anti-Trump song "Looking For A Leader" : Neil Young sings for a new US president

Rock star Neil Young (74) does not give up his combative rejection of Donald Trump. Now the native Canadian ("Heart Of Gold") has rewritten a 14 year old song with new lyrics about the attack on the Republican US President. "Looking For A Leader", originally from Young's album "Living With War" (2006), is also a fiery appeal to vote for the opposition US Democrats on November 3rd.

The acoustic guitar and harmonica song was viewed tens of thousands of times on YouTube the weekend after its release.

"Yes, we had Barack Obama / and we really need him now / the man who stood behind him / has to somehow take his place," sings Young, who is also a US citizen, with a view to Democratic presidential nominee-designate Joe Biden .

And about Trump: "America has a leader / who builds walls around our house / who does not know" Black Lives Matter "/ and we have a vote to vote him out."

Young recently took legal action against the Republican team for using his songs in a Trump speech. In a lawsuit for copyright infringement, the singer-songwriter wrote, among other things, that he could not allow his music to be used as a "theme song" for a divisive, un-American campaign of ignorance and hate. The allegations revolve around the unauthorized use of the songs "Rockin 'In The Free World" and "Devil's Sidewalk" in June at a Trump rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Young is demanding damages, among other things. The musician had already complained in 2015 when Trump used his songs in the US election campaign. (dpa)
