6 10 Preface 11 Preface This book is intended for everyone who is interested in self-healing with homeopathy. It is intended to show a different view of maintaining health compared to the mainstream of the present. Illnesses and health problems in women should be assessed holistically. Pregnancy and childbirth as well as the health of the children are given more attention because the next generations can gain the special life advantage with better health. I pursue the goal of reducing the activities of conventional university medicine (school) medicine to a tolerable and then justified minimum (emergency, surgery, organ replacement, damage prevention) for the long-term benefit of those affected. It has always been a thorn in my side that the onset of illnesses is a field of prescription for highly effective prescription drugs. Obviously reaching for painkillers or sedatives, fever reducers or even antibiotics pleases the pharmaceutical industry, but becomes a health problem for those affected, who no longer have the patience to first look at what is in store for them and what it means for them . There is enough empirical medicine to make the early development of disorders bearable without suppressing these first warning signs and symptoms. It is regrettable that knowledge about our domestic and culturally matured natural remedies is diminishing. The use of Chinese herbal mixtures seems downright absurd to me, when we ourselves have enough local recipes. I am also uncomfortable with the intentions of conventional medicine without a holistic preventive approach. Understanding how sick smoking, alcohol, an unhealthy diet or a lack of exercise make you are certainly significant. But what justification is there to give healthy people, especially pregnant women and children, drugs in a questionable amount and regularly when only too few could benefit from them? With multiple medical support, vitamin preparations and dietary supplements are used. Europe has never been as good economically and in terms of supply technology as it is today. Are these all business ideas? Homeopathy was developed in Germany by Samuel Hahnemann (). An inexpensive and highly individual therapy that is understandably beneficial in order to be and stay healthy in the long term. Everyone can do this therapy for themselves

7 12 Preface Preface 13 even if the conventional medical critics never tire of dismissing homeopathy. This therapy has proven itself and survived for over 200 years. The hostilities are explained by the seeming irrationality of homeopathic medicines, because these cannot be grasped with the methods of conventional medicine. On the contrary, it annoys conventional medical professionals that homeopaths make conventional medicine and its prescriptions superfluous if they are successful. All conventional medicine measures are critically questioned if they impair self-healing or even hinder it unbearably. These are primarily senseless medicinal therapies purely from routine, long-term use of drugs and especially the vaccination process. With their concerns, homeopaths thwart the high-handed and dictatorial handling of so-called prophylaxis, so that trust in doctors who propagate these measures generally suffers. Conventional practices can nevertheless allow themselves to adopt these rigid attitudes, because the competition is largely eliminated by the limitations of the branch with statutory health insurance physicians or has been pushed into the private practice. In addition, the market for alternative medicine is flourishing. So homeopathy appears to the normal citizen as something strange that one can only afford with a lot of money at a private doctor or alternative practitioner. Those who carefully protect their health and primarily strive for self-healing can be offered support early on through education, avoidance and, to a certain extent, through self-regulation. The present work pursues this concern. In almost all chapters, this book shows the layman the possibilities of self-treatment in advance of medical therapy. For readers who are already experienced in homeopathy, my insights gained in over thirty years of practice should be an aid in assessing their ailments and in their applications. I would like to impressively demonstrate to both laypeople and those who already know that superficial illness is reasonable and should be used in a wait-and-see manner in order to reduce chronic infirmity, complications and even life-threatening conditions in the long term. With the descriptions of the individual medicinal pictures I would like to show the layman an insight into the scope and depth of homeopathic work, but also to show respect and recognition to all homeopaths who honestly try to prescribe individual remedies, because they deal so intensively with their patients. Those who are still inexperienced in homeopathy should, as soon as they have engaged in guided homeopathic treatment, carry out more extensive self-treatment only in consultation with and accompanied by the experienced homeopath. I would like to expressly encourage homeopathic self-treatment as well as permanent support from experienced people. A high-quality homeopathic work presupposes that at the beginning an anamnesis, an admission interview and an examination over one to two hours are carried out, which then lead to the prescription of individual drugs. Anyone who receives more than one remedy from his homeopath, even three or more together, can assume that this behavior has nothing to do with original homeopathy, that there is a lack of overview and experience and that mistrust is appropriate! And now one more clear word before starting this book: I come from a family of doctors in the fifth generation. I got to know and appreciate a way from conventional medicine to alternatives like acupuncture and homeopathy. I am very clear about the capabilities of conventional medicine and appreciate the advantages when it comes to emergency solutions. I use conventional medicine when the patient can no longer create his / her own solution and is in danger. But I also know about the lack of concept of this medicine and do not see that it makes absolute demands and demands obligations to participate. Some of the statements about conventional medicine in this book will probably appear very polemical to the readers. Each time, however, it will be an unpleasant and common practice that I encounter in practice in an unpleasant way. I react with a certain emotion not only in daily practice, but now also in this book. I refrained from neutralizing these passages because I am more interested in the clarification, the message and the change. Finally, a few words about the treatment of the topic: I first present the conventional part of a disease or a syndrome, give my assessment, follow up with alternative suggestions and lead to the homeopathic approach. The focus is on empirical values ​​and, in the background, the scientific nature and statistical results, behind which conventional medicine is the only one. Too often, scientific studies serve economic interests. Therefore, the results should be viewed with caution. I often cite sources that encourage alternatives and can serve the patient's self-determination. Now I wish all of my readers that this book becomes an informative companion for them in questions of their health and gives them new impulses in order to avoid or resolve diseases of a more serious nature. 8 14 Introduction 15 Introduction Any other medical treatment than the usual will be better and serve the woman seeking help more if this therapy is based on the individual weaknesses and impairments of the patient and - like all natural forms of therapy - has a stimulating character in order to improve its own abilities to help achieve a breakthrough. All therapies assume that the person has the ability to repair and heal himself. To live means to flow, to be constantly in motion. In no second of our life does the column of blood stand still. Consequently, pathological obstacles can be solved dynamically for a long time, because that is how they arise. By stimulating people's weaknesses in such a way that they themselves produce overcoming and solution skills, we help firstly to accept and understand the illness and, secondly, to enable the experience of one's own strength (ego power), the ability to solve crises oneself and in to get through with full awareness! These are decisive advantages that help prevent the unreasonable and make the measures taken sustainable. Therefore, the essential difference to conventional medicine should become clear right here in the introduction: In principle, conventional medicine favors the support that leads to passivity and burdensome support (through painkillers, lowering fever, antibiotics, surgery, etc.) and sets the doctor over all decisions. Homeopathy subtly stimulates the self-healing power and requires the patient to take an active role in caring for himself.However, an illusion must be prevented at once: Anyone who is not prepared to go into pathological development, to endure pain to an acceptable limit and to be patient with the life processes as they naturally develop, should put this book aside and continue to trust stick to his previous therapist. However, if you are looking for the path to self, self-awareness, you will get the first useful tips here on how body-soul-spirit can be changed under pathological conditions and how homeopathy can advantageously influence them. With this form of therapy, the human ability to suffer is of course not tested without limits. The inner willingness should only be awakened from the outset to endure reasonable disorders of wellbeing when it comes to avoidance or solution intentions of deeper pathological processes or disease developments that can be accepted and cured from the beginning.

9 16 Introduction Introduction 17 Conventional medicine lacks a concept to prevent chronic diseases. It is noticeable how successfully it can end acute illnesses (emergency medicine, medicines, surgery). The more one deals with the tension between healthy and sick, the stronger one gets the impression that most acute successes are only viewed very myopically, questions of sustainability are ignored. The deeper backgrounds and connections in a person, his long-term prognosis, are not included enough. It is also so easy and tempting to treat an acute cystitis immediately with an antibiotic or to stop an itchy vagina with antifungal suppositories. It's just not surprising that they'll be back soon. On the contrary, if you wait and see, it becomes clear that the acute can be part of a basic chronic issue, that a person seeks relief from chronic stress through acute illnesses. So there are good reasons why acute inflammation appears. It is just a little more laborious to check the background and holistic connections. And finally, methods are needed to use this knowledge. Homeopathy does amazing things here! With the suppression of acute events, however, chronic suffering deepens in the long term. So the suppressive drug treatment of an annoying vaginal infection or vaginal discharge only makes sense to relieve the patient of these complaints superficially. But the woman has her own abilities to solve the problem. In such a case, one cannot avoid asking which deeper conditions of their being are involved in the development of this annoying disorder. The vagina has a biologically established acidic environment that can repel pathological stress. Superordinate hormonal processes guarantee this local harmony. Only a deep emotional distress, significantly in the sexual area (e.g. after sexual abuse in early childhood) in connection with current crises in the partnership can be the actual background for this local event. As long as her symptoms persist, this woman will start looking for the causes with herself and, with good company, will be able to get to the core of her chronic life disorder. The local events could then become understandable to her as a possible unconscious rejection of the sexual partner and the sexual act. An early psychological trauma could thus remain veiled further by the local medical treatment and make a balanced and authentic approach to life increasingly impossible for this woman. It could therefore remain a chronic, (destructive) focus of your inner life with uncertain future prospects, provided that an expected, constant repetition of the same vaginal disorder (so-called recurrence tendency) and the associated repetitive treatment aggravate the whole inner distress. The human being cannot be divided into different organ regions, which are then administered by a specialist in each case. Every local organic event arises from the human context and its respective psychosocial field of tension, i.e. out of itself. Every pathological local development has its history, its way. Recognizing and understanding the corresponding signs here and dealing with them holistically in a wait-and-see and enlightening manner leads to more personal integrity, more well-being and health. What I have outlined so far describes processes that are dealt with today in psychosomatics and beyond in psychoanalysis / psychotherapy. I do not want to hide my sympathy for all therapy methods that first look at the psyche in the therapeutic field of vision. The everyday medical practice of the general practitioner would have to fulfill important tasks here in order to prevent local repairs from doing their work. However, because of the five-minute medicine and the underestimation of conversations with the patient, this function is hardly used nowadays. Psychotherapy finds its most pathetic expression in the immediate prescription of psychotropic drugs. This way, personal issues are only postponed, not fixed. Verbal psychotherapy, talk therapy, is the more humane solution. But speaking - as far as it is possible at all - only touches the spiritual sphere, leads to insights through which holistic solutions alone are not necessarily successful. But first of all, insights help to rethink one's own actions. In today's practice, this procedure means an immense amount of time and money. Psychoanalysis can last for years. So here we will soon reach the limits of the practical and the economic. Depression is now recognized as a widespread disease, but can no longer be managed with this medical system. On the other hand, how much more elegant and cheaper is homeopathy: A woman who is ill, however ill, will express her inability to resolve the pathological process, both in objective symptoms belonging to the disease and in individual, subjective symptoms. The objective symptoms lead to the conventional medical diagnosis and, in the case of additional suffering, to the need for medical action. With the individual symptoms, the patient describes her personal plight, her sensitivities acquired through the illness, which are expressed in the symptoms. For the subjective symptom situation, we must now look for the remedy that can produce a similar disease (Greek: homoion pathos). Healthy pharmacists

10 18 Introduction Introduction 19 have experienced and described their individual sensitivities in self-experiments. This medicinal knowledge has been available for over 200 years. This one drug, now recognized as similar, is given to her, the patient, in a diluted and shaken (= dynamized) form. Thereupon, due to the similarity relationship, she will perceive a stimulus effect as a provocation, as an increase in her sensitivity. Patients describe this as an initial aggravation, homeopaths choose the term initial reaction. After an initially possible, short-term deterioration, all the body's own forces will show themselves to be stimulated and restore order and harmony that follows its inner natural laws (second reaction). The biological development of the disease resolution follows the same path as its origin: directed from the inside out, from the center to the periphery, from the central nervous system to the mucous membrane and skin, from the whole organ to the hollow organ and on to the mouths, the body exits. But this also means that this biologically correct path must be supported and pursued. Because as long as that happens, the entire disease process is defused. In the end, it is worth the patience to have given the peripheral disorders time, not to have suppressed and eliminated them as a matter of priority. What is now to be observed? The inner central reaction process leads to clarifications. The aggravation makes the suffering even more unbearable and the person begins to act spontaneously and authentically, becomes active. The inconsistencies in their relationship become clearer to the woman and she changes her behavior. One can also say that it reduces its internal pressure, and the peripheral disruptive signals (or alarm signals) become less and less necessary, and fade away. The vagina normalizes and stabilizes again, despite previously identified colonization with pathogenic germs. After all, they can no longer be detected, they simply disappeared, defeated by a normalized mucous membrane flora. The same thing happens in the urinary bladder, even if an inflammation with a far too high number of germs was detected beforehand. These observations and solutions explain the attitude of many homeopaths that pathogens are not the cause of diseases! Rather, each person gives the pathogens the space they need to multiply on their own terms. Conventional medicine looks for pathogens because it wants to use anti-drugs. Homeopaths support the patient's efforts to regain inner stability. Then it becomes possible for the patient to dispense with the anti-drugs. The gratifying result is the achievement of overcoming the disease by one's own strength as an experience gained. After a homeopathic dose of medicine, harmony and complete healing do not always have to result. In the case of chronic illnesses in particular, it can be observed after the first drug intake that a development is only being pushed, that an older, previously treated disorder reappears, from which the patient believed herself to have been freed by conventional medicine. This is initially a nuisance for the patient, but still very cheap. After all, it proves that after the treatment at that time there was no cure, only suppression. As a rule, we are now well advised not to intervene, but to leave the healing process on its own for the time being. This woman is now given a second chance to dissolve the old suffering again on her own, because it seems to play an important role in her reduced overall constitution through its appearance. The problem in practice now arises with the question of patience for the patient and the practitioner: if the person concerned seeks help elsewhere, those developments are not taken into account and only locally effective measures are applied again. This can easily result in a relapse and deepening of the chronic condition with decreasing curability. This can also happen to a homeopath if he loses track of the reactions after his first drug and hastily re-prescribes the first reaction. In the process of homeopathic healing, which stimulates the natural path of self-healing, the woman goes through her old ailments. This is exaggerated (provoked) in the short term and often unbearable, so that she is forced to accept it. In doing so, she only resolves her disturbance in the spirit, then in the soul and finally in the body. This is how she gains awareness, feels herself, and experiences subsiding physical symptoms. Very often this process is followed by the need for psychotherapy, an ideal and then particularly productive supplement to homeopathy, which in most cases is not necessary. In the long term, homeopathy is best complemented by surgery, if things stop going. Because if organic conditions can no longer be remedied z. B. through loss of elasticity and tissue damage such as advanced uterine subsidence, inguinal hernias, varicose veins or if tumors have formed, i.e. in conditions that no longer respond adequately to the dynamic self-regulation, we can reach the limits of self-healing. The domain of homeopathy lies in preventing and influencing chronic suffering, especially by carefully accompanying acute crises, for which - if necessary - homeopathic medicinal support is available. This approach proves to be particularly enjoyable, useful and successful at the beginning of life: during pregnancy and when a child is born. Because this phase of a woman's life offers a high degree of personality development and

11 20 Introduction I. What is homeopathy? 21 Self-awareness if you actively refrain from anesthesia. This works well with homeopathic medicines! The benefit from homeopathy is to be seen in each case for the individual. Self-confidence and the ego grow as the basis for a strong personality development that can come into harmony with itself. Illnesses then have less and less chance, because a strong personality has the fewest reasons to fall ill. First of all, homeopathy can be understood as a kind of setting the course for one's own personality development, from an early age. It can fill today's therapeutic vacuum in an excellent way when malaise or hypersensitivity (allergy) prevails without substantial organ changes being present. My personal concern is to avoid conventional medical drugs such as fever suppositories, pain relievers, antibiotics, hormones and especially cortisone from the outset, wherever and whenever possible. With consistent homeopathic therapy, unexpected emergencies become less and less common, and long-term health stability is established - roughly parallel to the growing personal responsibility. In this way, homeopathic medicine literally fulfills the meaning of the word medicine (Latin: in mediam ducere): to lead the patient into his midst. So if you want to go other ways than those planned by conventional medicine and laid down in schemes, you can deal with the threats of measures such as antibiotics, hormones, scraping or operations completely differently. I follow this common thread throughout the book. I. What is homeopathy? The term was coined by Samuel Hahnemann (), who developed this therapy method. Homoion comes from the Greek and means similar, pathos means suffering, so together the similar suffering. In terms of medical history, it is best to show what homeopathy is all about, and why it is still so relevant today or again. Samuel Hahnemann was born in Meißen / Saxony in 1755. As a contemporary of Goethe, he first acquired a scientific reputation as a chemist, studying pharmacy before continuing his medical training. However, he was initially reluctant to set up a medical practice. In his opinion, the state of medicine around 1790 was bad, because it ignored the wholeness of the human being, treated it too roughly and hurtfully. As a rule, treating the disease has been more debilitating to patients than enduring the disease itself. The basis of medical action at that time was the juice theory according to Hippocrates, which was about the idea that humans are ruled by four different juices. If these juices were not in equilibrium, illness was present, which led to excessive use of medicines and manipulations of the body with the intention of increasing the excretion of sick body fluids. The compensatory treatment gained should restore health. In the case of drugs, overdoses had to be selected for this purpose, which resulted in clinical pictures being converted into drug poisoning. The picture of poisoning eventually replaced the disease. Even today, mankind has to cope with too much drug intake, since the purely scientific view of the causes of illness primarily offers material solutions. In the present, the risk of danger lies in the combinations of drugs that no one can see in terms of the overall effect. Today, as it was 200 years ago, a rethink is required to find ways out of chronic illness! Aude sapere - dare to know, Hahnemann chose as his motto! Hahnemann initially earned his living doing translation work. His extensive language skills made this possible.
