An Android device has two PINs: the device-internal PIN, which you use to unlock your smartphone or tablet, and the PIN of the SIM card. In the following we will show you how you can change both PINs.

Brief instructions: Change device-internal PIN on Android

  1. Open the Settings Your smartphone.
  2. Select under "Users" the point "security" out.
  3. Then tap under "Device security" on "Screen lock".
  4. You will now be asked for your old PIN to enter. When you have done this, you still have to start with the "FurtherConfirm the "button on the screen keyboard.
  5. Then tap "pin code"and select the option"PIN required to start the device". Then enter your new PIN and tap"Further".
  6. Enter the new PIN again and go to "OK". You have now successfully changed your mobile phone PIN.

Quick guide: Change SIM PIN on Android device

  1. Open the Settings Your Android smartphone.
  2. In the category "Users" to the point "security".
  3. Then select "Set up SIM lock" out.
  4. Tap on "change PIN"to enter a new PIN. If you have several SIM cards in your mobile phone, you must select the card whose PIN you want to change.
  5. Enter your old PIN and tap "OK".
  6. Think of one new PIN out. Enter this and confirm with "OKRepeat the process and your SIM PIN has been changed.
