Rainbow shoes with the batik technique / tie dye DIY

advertising

Even if it's almost the end of July and therefore not so much of the summer, I don't want to withhold this summer idea from you. Maybe my rainbow shoes are the last summer ideas here on the blog. Slowly you have to prepare for autumn. At least we bloggers. You can enjoy the summer for a very long time.

That's why I'm going to show you a great batik idea with white shoes today. Batik or Tie DyeDIY is particularly popular this year. I knew that from project groups at school where everyone was allowed to bring an old T-shirt and then make crazy patterns with them. I also remember my t-shirt was just orange and you hardly saw any patterns. I then looked enviously at the other results.

But that's not the point. Today I brought beautiful rainbow shoes for you, which are definitely super easy to copy. That's how it's done:

Rainbow shoes with the batik technique / tie dye DIY

ingredients

  • White cloth shoes
  • Batik colors
  • Gloves
  • Color fixer
  • some water
  • Something to put under
  • hairdryer

manual

1

First, remove the laces from the shoes and the insoles.

2

Now moisten the shoes a little with water so that the batik colors hold better.

3

Put the shoes on the ground. The best thing to do is outside.

4

Start over with a red or pink. Carefully apply the paint to the shoe. Then comes orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.

5

If your shoes are completely covered with paint, you should look at the packaging of your paints to see how you should let them soak in. There are colors that should be washed off a little after a few hours. With others you should fix the color with heat.

6

Since you can't put the shoes in the oven or iron them, otherwise the plastic will deform, I carefully blow-dry the shoes. But also in such a way that the plastic parts don't get too hot. I also used a color fixer.

7

Then just let the shoes dry completely and your rainbow shoes are ready!
