Can we check the PayPal account with Payoneer

We know how exciting the payout day can be - that's why we're happy to assist you with any issues that may delay your payout. In this article, we cover the most common troubleshooting steps our team is taking to help creatives get their payouts.

Please note that processing your payout via PayPal can take one to two working days and processing via global bank transfer with Stripe or Payoneer can take three to five working days.

Did you choose a payout type?

If we don't yet know where to send your payout to, we will not be able to transfer your balance.

To add or update your payout type:

  1. Sign in to your creator account.
  2. Click the link in the Creator menuSettings
  3. Click in the menu barSettings for payouts and taxes . 
  4. Add or update your payout type.

As soon as you add or update a withdrawal type, an automatic five-day withdrawal block will be applied to your account balance.

Delays from direct deposits through Stripe

Note: Stripe can only transfer your balance to a current account. Once you've entered the information for your savings account, follow these steps to switch your withdrawal method to a checking account and try again.

With Stripe, withdrawals can be delayed for two reasons: holidays or incorrect account details.

If more thanthree daysSince your withdrawal via Stripe has passed and it was not a public holiday, contact your bank to check whether there are still deposits open.

It could also be that the account information submitted is not entirely correct. You can submit your information again to try again.

To trigger a new attempt to make a direct deposit:

  1. Click the link in the Creator menuSettings
  2. Click in the menu bar Settings for payouts and taxes.
  3. Scroll down and click the buttonUpdate bank informationand re-enter your account number and routing number.
  4. Scroll down and click the buttonto save . 

Stripe will automatically attempt to rerun transfers based on the updated bank account information within one to three business days.

Delays with PayPal

If you're using PayPal, the slightest typo can transfer your balance to a nonexistent account. Double-check the email address you connected to your Patreon account.

How to check the PayPal email address we have on file:

  1. Click the link in the Creator menuSettings
  2. Click in the menu barSettings for payouts and taxes .
  3. Scroll down to the sectionPayout type and check the PayPal email address.
  4. If you find a typo, correct it immediately and contact our support team using the “Send an email to Patreon support” button at the bottom of this page.

Delays at Payoneer

Regardless of whether you are using Payoneer to send direct deposits to your house bank or whether you are automatically loading funds onto a Payoneer card, there are a few points that can cause a delay.

If it has been more than five working days since your withdrawal, contact Payoneer directly. You may need to verify your Payoneer account or submit documents in order to receive withdrawals. Payoneer can help you with that.

Has your support payment been processed?

Check your relationship manager to see all of your Patrons who currently have an active membership. You will only receive payments to your account if you have patrons who actively support you. If you have an offer with "billing per post", your patrons must already support you,before you publish a paid post. If you bill per month, the patrons must have registered before we start processing payments on the 1st of the month.

If you have patrons with a declined payment, you won't receive their grant until their payment has been approved. For more information on declined payments from Patrons, see this guide: Why Have My Patrons Payments Been Declined?


Is your account temporarily suspended?

In order to keep your account safe and to ensure that YOU are the only person receiving your income, we sometimes need to temporarily hold your withdrawals. For more information on how to temporarily withhold withdrawals, see this guide: Withdrawal Process

In this case, you will usually receive a notification and an email. If you haven't received any information, it's probably not because of a suspension. If you receive a notification letting you know the time and date you can request the withdrawal, it means that you have requested a manual withdrawal within the last 24 hours.

A withdrawal block will be lifted after five days. You can then manually make all withdrawals from your account.


Do you support other creative people?

We use the credit in your account to cover any support you may have given to other creative people. If the amount you pay other creatives is more than what you get for your own page, you'll see a negative balance. You can check this in your payout dashboard.

And finally ... if you are unsure, contact your bank!

If your payment information was entered incorrectly, or your bank may have canceled the withdrawal or transferred it to a different account, you should contact your bank to see if this is actually the case.
